XF Fairmont Ghia - COME Racing ST3 Motor (balanced and blueprinted, hi energy sump, shotpeened rods, arp rod bolts, ACL Forged Pistions, Moly rings, alloy head, port and polished and flows 358 HP, 302 cleveland guide plates, double valve springs and locks, crane adjustable roller rockers, 165 and 185 valves, the cam is a saliba grind, 540 " lift, 226 on the inlet, 230 on the exhaust) JRM ST2 B/W 40 auto with 2600 Dominator hi-stall, 3.45 in the rear, dandy exhaust mandrel bent extractors and pipes with straight thru mufflers.

It has modded airflow meter, computer and piggy backed Unichip.

Good for 230 + HP... Not bad for a restrictive top end (air plenum and intake).

Trou Performance and Panels Paint all over including detailed engine bay and undercarriage, 3.5 inch suspension drop, simmons, boot full of sound gear.

Not a bad car for a cruiser.

I may be selling the motor and box in the new year. If anyone is interested by all means, let me know... :D :D :D

We have a 1987 XF wagon, metallic gold, 4.1 auto. Basically bog standard.
Might be getting a manual conversion if I can be bothered. It is basically just a shopping wagon.

My brother has an XY ute, totally scruffy old bomb but he loves it to bits.
200 low compression from a 1976 Transit six, 3 speed with a Speco floor change, and drims all round although he has a set of XF discs and stub axles which are about to go on it.

Our family van is a 1969 Transit bus, which used to be a V4 but had already been converted rather roughly when we got it to a 200 from a Cortina with a 3 speed floor shift about a foot behind the driver's seat and the motor between the front seats. It also had a Falcon 3.50 diff
We fitted XY discs with HQ HOlden calipers up front, got a wrecked factory six with the longnose and moved the motor forwards and used the factory six gearshift. After it ate the second old 200 and its 7th 3 speed gearbox ( it kept eating reverse) we stuck an XE 4.1 and a single rail out of an XF in it. The single rail had d**k selectors so we put another one in it, and the engine swallowed a piece of the carb and mashed No.6 piston and the head so we stuck what we think is an XB engine in it that we dragged out of a dog kennel where it had lain for 3 years, changed the oil, plugs, dissy cap, and rotor arm and it ran perfectly. It pulls like a train but it could do with a bit more power, a lot more economy, a 5 speed gearbox, power steering (arm acher at the moment) and rack +pinion steering to make it handle better.
Future plans include IFS, either modified HQ or custom built, either a 4 link a*** end with discs or ideally ( but pricey) a BA sedan IRS under it, and possibly an OHC engine. It is also probably getting a complete XF S-Pack dash, which will make the interior a nicer place to be.

Just new myself. My ride is an XC Fairmont GXL.

387 Stroker custom pistons. Standard bores with file back rings.
Redline single plain intake with a two inch spacer and 650 holley.
Heads are 2 V with 4 V valves and large hydraulic cam.

Auto is a C10 2500 stall stage 2 shift kit and B&M shifter and thick wall tail shaft.

Diff is nine inch disc brake with 4.11.1 for the strip and 2.5.1 for the
street.

Its best time so far is 12.04 @ 114 with i hope more to come.

Estimated hp is about 400+ at the rear.

Hope you like it.
