This my first post so bear with me. i have just purchased a BW 4 speed single rail, the guy i got it from said it was out of a 6cyl. it had come out of a XD-E due to an electronic speedo cable. I'm planning to put a 4 speed in my coupe project soon and want to know is there any differences between a 6 & 8 BW (i.e. shaft lengths etc.) I'm going to be running 351 4 speed 9 inch.

Cant remember the exact differences, but Input Shaft was one. (Length).

Fairly Similar to the differences in T5's

Different ratio's too. he 6cyl ones had a 3.32 first gear. The V8 ones had taller ratio's. The 351 version in XD had a 2.46 first gear.
