Hey guys,
odd question - but I've got an XB coupe and want to fit a towbar to it. I know, take it to a towbar joint...rang one up and they quoted between 750 to a grand....not trying to be tight but thats pretty pricey....so I was wondering whether anyone knows for sure whether sedan towbars (XA - XC) are the same fitment? I'm just thinking there's still a few of them sitting around in wreckers etc and I'd rather pick one up cheaper and bolt it on myself....

You can only try.
The mere mention of the word Coupe nowdays brings on a new version of financial rape.

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around! |

I was VERY aware of that talking to this towbar mob but I didn't want to just say XB as in sedan without knowing...you're right, though, second they heard ` coupe ' you could hear the cogs whirring...

XA sedan is the same bumper as xa and xb coupe. The bar should measure 1meter8cmfrom tip to tip after unbolting from the bumber.(I measured the one in the shed off the xb coupe)Good luck hope it helps.

Any XA -XB sedan/ Fairlane will bolt straight up if you use the normal duty one that utilises the rear bar bolt holes. It just fits between your bumper and utilises your existing bumper bolts (sandwich style). The heavyduty would be a different story! I have a normal duty fitted to my coupe but I can't remember if the XC was slightly different but it bolted up the same way. $750 sounds a bit steep!
