Currently working on a XB Falcon ute, pulled parts from a BA XR6 Falcon sedan, running gear, wiring harness, computer etc.
Looking for off the shelf conversion BA running gear to XB Falcon ute..

Perhaps a bit more of an explanation of what you have done and what you wish to achieve is in order? To get an informative reply you must first provide an informative question(s). I'm a little confused as to what you are after.

Theres not really a conversion kit, more like some workshops who can fit the barra and get it running, but it all depends if you want the "running gear" to be engine, box, diff or just the engine and box, or just the engine. The more barra you want in the xb the harder it will be

It's going to be alot harder than that, you need ALL the wiring from the front to the back of the car, need a CAPA Flash tuner, and lots of other bits.

just forget most of the oem wiring, lock the vct solenoid(s - depending on ba or bf) up and run aftermarket ecu. would be less stuffing around for the equivalent money and equal power. I'm sure you could probably get an aftermarket ecu to run vct now anyway.

It all depends on what you have already invested in I guess.

engineering kit? please explain. You do the work, and it gets engineered if it's to spec, or not if it fails. Simple as that.

Unfortunately with late model cars retrofitting is getting harder and harder with the integration of most on-board electronics. The way around this for older cars, is to get rid of the electronics. They aren't needed and it just makes the job that much more elaborate.

Take into consideration that the xb ute would still weigh less than a b series coon, take away the dual vct and electronic throttle and you have an completely workable, freshly engineered, good power base to start with.

One way to do the transfer is to BA wiring headlights to taillights. Have a key start put on the wiring harness for XB key. Engineer kits for engine mount and gearbox mounts should be available at good ford place. Use BA radiator and air con core with some mod use BA air con and heater box and modernize dash using BA instruments. BA throttle unit can be adapted for XB. And enjoy the modern driving experience in an old car.
