Just want to swap out my 1974 XB ute's gearbox for a 5 speed. Manual. 6cyl 250 engine.

Been told that an XE box will slot straight in, is this true?

Just want as little messing around as possible.

I'm pretty sure the 5 speeds a bit longer - if so you'll need to have your tailshaft length changed to suit

Use a T5 as they are the same length, you will just need an XF bellhousing!
