Hello everyone,
This is my first post, I've joined because I was hoping to find some fellow enthusiasts and after some pointers in the right direction.
I have just purchased a 1978 XC Falcon, and am a huge fan of Ford muscle cars!
It has a 6 cylinder 250 cross-flow, auto 3 speed column shift in the car, I'm pretty sure the motor is standard and only has 120k on it.
I'm wanting to know how I would get the car sounding nice and loud if this is possible without spending thousands, also would like to add a few extra HP to the car. I'm looking at putting a GS bonnet on it and was wondering how much would it would cost for a respray of a bonnet?
I have read if you put a 4 speed manual gear box in it, it would make it faster, but I want to keep the column shift. I'm also wanting to put a bench seat in the front, do these come up for sale often, and is there any other models that have a bench seat that would fit the XC Falcon without making alterations to the car?
Looking forward to hearing from all :-)

Just give the engine a freshen up, put an XF unleaded head on it ( you'll need an XD alloy head intake then....cast iron head intakes are different).....or convert the cast head to unleaded.
