G'day Guys, just curious, how hard are manual conversions in these, and more importantly, what is required, and compatible.
I have an XC wagon with a 4.1 crossflow and c4, I'm thinking try and find an xf 5 cog setup.
what's compatible, tailshaft, pedal box, cable, or hydraulic clutch?
flywheels, I wont be pushing any real power, just not a real fan of auto's

The XC will be a Hydraulic clutch, so you need to find an XA-XC for the bits.
The pedal box doesn't have to come out, you can remove the shorter shaft for the auto pedal, and fit the longer shaft for the two pedals. Easy enough to do, you just need to find a donor car.
Any falcon 6 manual box will fit, but you will need a bellhousing with the mounts for the hydraulic set up. My advice is look around for a donor, or a wreck at a yard, with a manual trans, and rape it for all the parts you need. IIRC a T5 will fit in a single rail bellhousing, so if you find a factory 4 speed s**t, you can get all you need, and fit a later model T5 behind it.
I will have a look an the weekend, but I may have a 6 cyl/manual in an XE wreck out home. It wont be all you need, but it may get you started. I'll let you know.

Yeah, not as hard to do as you'd think - its a pity you're so far away, I have a Xflow to single rail bellhousing sitting in the shed doing nothing.. but yeah, not real complex - I bought a 351 with auto, got hold of a bell and flywheel to suit, put a single rail from an XF behind it, pretty straightforward, only needed to put a spigot bearing in the end of the crank..

Yeah fair enough, I converted my ef to manual that was simple enough.
see what happens but good to no theirs no major hurdles, other than hydraulic setup.

not all xc falcons were hydraulic some were cable clutch
