how do i make my stock 351 faster than my mates ssgen3

hmm, bit hard to match an old school 351 with a ssgen3. Although id start by changing diff ratio and carby, exhaust and extractors..the list goes on

f**k yeah 5 grand will get it going very nicly getting a xc though to beat a gen 3 might be a bit hard as they get power down farly good, but u will get good power with 5 grand if spent well

im new to owning v8s no nothing about them where do i take it to get mods done without getting ripped off in the sydney area.

like metioned before get the diff done, nice size holly onto it, exhaust, headers, cam, get new electronic ignition,

what is driving it manual auto

i drive it twice a week tops it looks really good but it should go faster than it looks it looks really mean its got mags and the big holes in the bonnet i want it faster. how will stuff the paint.

yeah but cant just put a cam on it, need it to be able to get enough air fuel in it then for it to get it out. so holly and headers exhaust then it will have a bit of go and be better if u put a stally in it to if ur going to cam it, depending on the cam around 2500 3000 rpm is good

cam first. xc's suffered from emission control
unlike xa. more free flowing aircleaner/extractors.
