Hi does anyone know if you can just plug XD tacho Dash into XE looks exactly the same plugs or do you have to change wiring loom. also can you calibrate Tacho from 6 to 8 cylinder. I see it has two fine adjusting screws on back of tacho.

XE and XD dash are identical.
6 and 8 are different, however it is possible to have them either recalibrated (local VDO Agent), or a DIY recalibration (which is apparently just 2 resistor changes and then fine adjust)
XD ones would be suffering fairly decent warpage these days - they were pretty bad 20 years ago already
