Hey, I just had an idea to make up a flywire screen filter for the plenum chamber (the black plastic bit where the wipers go) on my XF, and it got me thinking, if enough people are interested, I'll cut some out and sell them for a cheap price to cover me buying the flywire, and hopefully a little extra on the side. I was thinking around the $3ea price would be a fair starting price. If anyone is interested, let me know, and we can sort something out, also when I get my hands on a digital camera again, I'll be happy to make a document explaining how it's done.

it's easier IMO to lay them in under the grille then carefully trim around it.....

is this so leaves don't fall through the vent into the cowel panel?

problem is that the only real way to get it to sit right under the grille is either by gluing a pre-cut filter onto the grille or putting the filter across the opening then screwing the grille into place then trimming the mesh.....

being typical xd-xf's, the cowel panel rusts out something fierce.
my xf did it, poured some body deadener/tar in it, fixed it right up.

I always thought the plenum chamber was the hollow bit of metal that the intake runners were attached to - or have I just been reading ZOOM too much?
