Hi all, I`ve just been given a complete XF rear end wih disc brakes. What I need to know is apart from the rotors, handbrake cable, Calipers and mounts and rear brake lines on the diff is there anything else I need? Or would it be easier to swap the whole diff?

Also need to remove the proportioning valve from the master cylinder.

ummm... put a disk rear end valve back in too... lol
change the whole diff it is easier than pulling axles and swapping brakes assuming they are both sedan diffs. Depending on how much you know about brakes, you may be better off getting another master cyl to suit disk rear.

I had the impression the master cylinders were all the same

Disk brakes need less pressure than drum brakes.
So rear lockup coud happen. This valve controls your front to rear brake bias.

That was my preferred method. I can get the booster and master cylinder of the donor car also |
