im doing up an xc sedan and i have been given an xe giha sedan which is fitted with a disc brake l.s.d and i was woundering if i can convert it to suit my xc by either putting the centre in my housing or fit spring mounts to the xe diff
any help would be good

lot of work, can you find someone who would swap the XE for a disc brake 9inch that would bolt straight under you XC. dont forget the brake master cylinder is different for a car with rear discs compared to drums

if you are handy with an oxy and welder, you could cut the coil mounts off, and weld the leaf ones on. be careful to get it lined up right though. iff you are moderately handy with the spanners, you could probaly put the lsd centre into your xc diff.

The easy way out is to use the axles and brake assembly's from the XE diff and fit them to the XC diff, then switch the LSD centre.
There may be a problem if the XE diff is a 2.77 ratio, and the XC one is 2.92. I'm not sure if the centre can be swapped that way, but I do know you can fit lower gears such as 3.23, 3.27 to a 2.92 centre, have done this before.
