hey just wondering if they XE ute ever came out with the 302 cleveland?
and if not, do you think this combo would work good with a FMX tranny? cheers |

Yes they did, but stopped having V8's in 83, i think. The FMX box saps a lot of horse power, hence, were only found behind 351's or big blocks. The C4 series boxes use less power to drive them. Hope you have the slip yoke for the FMX, they are bigger than the C4 ones.

I'm sure the V8's were dropped in 6/83, then the 4.1 EFI was the most powerful engine you could get till the 3.9 MPFI EA came out.

The cleveland engine ceased to be an option in 6/1983 in falcons (one of the guys I work with has the last cleveland powered xe sold esp pack also) and the FMX was never an option in XD or XE falcons.The 302 clevo FMX is more than likely from a donor f100 and the gearbox although is heavy is stronger than Ben Hurs left thigh and somewhat more reliable.
