Hi peoples,
I'm wanting to know if the Redline aftermarket intake manifold requires the head to be port matched to the manifold. At the moment, I have a factory i6 carb alloy head with the factory weber and factory manifold on. I'm having troubles with the weber, it can never seem to be tuned right. A mechanic got his hands on it, tuned it, re ground a seat or something and it's never worked properly since even after other people have got into it. Its either too lean or way to rich, there's no middle ground. I came across a 350cfm holley at a steal price, so I got it. I now know that the holley and the weber aren't interchangeable, thus the reason of wanting the redline intake. An adapter plate won't really work on the factory manifolds will it? The factory manifold looks awfully close to the block. Anyway, has anyone done this job? Does the head need to be port matched to the manifold? If it does, I'll just wait untill I end up pulling the motor out and put in the other mods for it. Thanks, Alex.

Theres no problem going from smaller to larger, but going large to small will have some concequences in power.
