As the topic states I have an XF that keeps on stalling. I dont drive the car all the time but it does this when it gets a bit wamer.
I have changed dissy cap, rotor, plugs, fuel filter and cleaned the carby. What can be wrong?? |

I dont drive the car all the time but it does this when it gets a bit wamer. spark module on side of distributer,it has 2 sections,1 for idle and low speed and the 2 for high speed.if one or the other fails its shot,if the car cranks but does not fire ,or it starts and warms up and stalls -drive about 1km.check the module, some spare parts place can test them, and use the heat paste on the base--the paste is poisionous so be carefull, these units are a pain, they can be ok for 6-18months and die all at once, carry a spare in glove box,i went through this a few years ago.
