Just looking at how crowded it is around the steering box with my try/y extractors on my XT.
I would like to do the XF power steer modification & fit a set of pacemaker 4 into 1 extractors.
will it work or am I dreaming?
Has anyone done it in a XR - XY ford?

Yeah i beleive that try y's will fit but i want to fit 4 into 1's

I reckon that the XD -XF engine might be a little bigger too

i have pacemaker 4 into 1's in my xr 351c, manual. no clearance problems at all
i never had to cut the front pipe. i just removed the through bolts on the engine mounts and jacked up the drivers side of the motor, fitted that side then let it down and jacked the passenger side and fitted them. dropped it down onto the mount pads and slid the bolts back in

the xf power steering pump can have brackets made to work on the same motor, the xf steering boxes can be made to fit too, u need to redrill the chassis rail for 2 bolt holes though, 1 lines up

and you got to notch the rail too, just done it, kinda apain in the a*** but worth it, not sure about your extractor prob sorry mate,
