i run 16 x 8's all round with 245/50/16 on rear and 225/50/16 on front. a 235on the front may scrub the guards depending on mag offset [how far the mag sticks out from the hub] and how low your car is, the same would apply to the rear for the 265.

i THINK it's 5x 116.4 or 114.6, im not sure but its somthing like that.

i've seen plenty of xd-xf's with s**t 12 slotters with 265's.
235's are fine at the front too, i'm running them on an xe ute (same suspension).

I'm fairly sure its 5 by 114.3 i dont know the offset xfs need. I went and looked at the back of my el gt rims and they did'nt even have any info stamped on the back regarding offset.

The correct size is 5 on 4.5" bolt circle.

My FD LTD ran 275/60-15 on 15 x 7 Globes with standard rear suspension.

I used to work in a tyre/wheel centre. The five stud ford pattern is 5x114.3, or 5 x 4.5 inches (remember, ford ARE american!!)

As far as the offset is concerned, I seem to remember them being 39mm+. Could be wrong - I was also researching Cortina wheels at the time :)

What was the tyre clearance with rubber that wide. I'd love rubber that wide on the back of an XF without scrubbing the guards.

Yea I'm pretty sure they are all 5x114.3 before the AU as my EL is 5x114.3.

I have read something that said there is a different disc/hub setup between an AU1 and AU2 Falcon and I'm interested to know if that's when Ford decided to change the stud pattern. Are AU2 onward 5x120?
