I purchased brake pads for my 3/96 Xg panelvan they were from eBay . After much browsing I've learnt they take the xh type part no 1108 front and 1109 rear . I was advised brembo brand were most suitable. Turned out the car had to be put on a tilt tray to the mechanic for another issue so I thought I'd get them to do the brakes as well , he's told me at the time these pads are cheap ones , and later that they where the wrong ones for a different model and put others on . Does anyone think he's feeding me bull because I'm a girl and he couldn't make a profit on the pads I bought ? Could it be possible they were in a wrongly labeled box . Any thoughts?

XG Front Pads are the same as XF, Bendix part no DB1075

Rear are the same as the EA/EB/ED DB1109.

XH Front Pads are the same as the E series DB1108

If you have supplied DB1108 to your Mechanic then he is correct, they are the wrong ones.

"Brembo" Pads off Ebay are a worry, they are probably cheap copies.

Thanks for your reply My mistake after looking on the web at the bendix site I've discovered that from March onwards the model is xh , the plate on the car is 3/96 and the bloke I bought it off told me it was an Xg so I've gone with that when in fact it's wrong . So I'm thinking db1108 is correct , but I guess I won't really know unless I see the ones he removed . I'm still thinking he's having a go

The difference between an XG and XH is simple.

XG look like an XF front and XH look like an EF front.

XH came out in April 1996.

Simplest way is to look at the compliance plates - I think XG's have them near the passenger bonnet pivot mount like the later models.
Should have the model - e.g. XG.
