Au's were made when XH was still made they used the same fender aprons I can not see why it want bolt straight on.

As far as I know the AU subframe wont swap easily into the XH. I believe the XH front end setup is more like the EF EL one then anything else.
XR Lanes write up when he did his was pretty good with what has to be cut and where.
I would be more inclined to mod the AU sump for it to fit. The only hassle then is finding someone to TIG it back up for you.
I believe there is a wrecker in Queensland who sells modded AU sumps for conversions on flea bay.

OK, the AU crossmember conversion is starting to be attempted by one or two adventerous modders.

It involves correctly locating the main crossmember and installing crush tubes in the existing chassis members to allow it to be bolted up. There is also the front crossmember that needs to be installed as well.


But the upshot of this if you do go ahead, is that all the AU suspension and brake parts then fit.

check out this nutter. i was glued to this build thread. biggest build iv seen.
might give you some scope on the amount of work neeeded.
