Hey everyone,

Currently own a xg xr6, and i have a dash from a xh sv8 and loom laying around.
I want to fit the dash into my xg and wondering how do i go about the wiring.

Can i use the xh loom with xg engine loom, or do i have to fit xg loom into xh
dash? Because i'd have to splice for new switches wouldn't I?.

I would love to help Having owned Xg1 XG2 XH1 And XH2. But I think the whole thing is different, Like as in square peg into round hole different, the XG was a direct relative of the XD (Dash wise). Your maybe more on this than me. I just fitted a up spec dash into my XH2 and it was plug and play, (oil Sender aside)... But this one I dont know. Have a look at the fittings the XH just has 2 rectangular fittings extreme right and left. Does the XG have this ??? Theres ya starting point.. regards Daz

Have yet to rip my dash completely out, as I wanted to source info.

However, I just screwed me motor 2days ago. Doing a swap this Saturday. Pulled a tickford 4l out of a el Fairmont ghia. Funny that I thought. Its got a bbm. And my thoughts are, I swap complete wiring and everything out of el , and use xh dash.... That way shouldn't be any problems ai.
