hey every one my xh has clocked up 340,000 on the original motor its got a leaking sump front,rear and rocker cover, its using oil and coolant and i want a bbm so im thinking

why not put a whole ef or el engine in! with the bbm and bobs your uncle but i havnt done a conversion like this so any help would be awsum.

can anyone tell me what ignition to run coil or distributor
ecu to run
map sensor to run
any k frame or engine mount mods

or anything ive missed, any help would be awsum!

XH's run Distributor ignition same as EL, EF and AU have CoilPACK.
XH also have EECV ECU despite what the Airbox cover says, the XH EECV cant run the BBM the Program is missing the code and the extra wire to control the Solenoid valve for this.

You don't need to mod the K Frame or Sump if your going to put an EF or EL Engine in however some moding will need to be done if you put in an AU Motor.

BBM Manifold(including injectors and fuel rail), intake Piping (Airbox to throttle body), shorter throttle cable and EL Pedal, Vacuum solenoid, and POD Filter.

Gday blokes im doing the exact same conversion (el to xh) both auto and iv got a few questions i was hoping you could answer.. So the el motor is in an ef sedan iv just about got the motor out and wanted to know firstly will the el motor fit the xh gearbox? secondly will i need an ef inlet manifold for the el engine? iv read about bbm n not sure what your talkin bout. iv gathered the el manifold doesnt work on the xh?? and thirdly do all the electical plugs fit in without modification? auto to auto tho... and is there anything else that would need modifying? i heard the left engine mount is different.?? id would really appreciate any info cheers
