That's a nice clean XF, keep the XF front end on it IMHO it looks better. The XH front will fit but it's alot of mucking around. Looks like you've got a V8 in there too? what motor is it and what's been done to it?

Doors should be the same, the rest you will need to change.

thanx, it's a cleveland 378 stroker. I brought the car with out the running gear. So i am going 4 litre 5 speed out of xh so i would like to put the front & the dash as well. I like the look of the xh ute but need the people space of a sedan. :D

The XH stuff won't fit. Totally different mounting points. The doors won't fit either, due to different catch mechanisms.
If you want 4.0 I6 in it, use stuff from XG ute. The radiator support panel setup is different, but that can be grafted on, especially the bottom section where the radiator goes.
Good luck.

 Dont worry about XG parts if you`re gonna put a 4.0 in it...1st mistake everyone made when the whole fad took off...if you wanna do it, I suggest you speak to Aaron Hogan, a member on this forum, he`ll set you straight.

As for the XH front sheetmetal, it can be done, god only knows why you`d bother, but as you did`nt ask if I like it, I`ll keep my opinion to myself...it would be a massive job, the radiator support would need to be modified to fit the front sheetmetal, bumper and lights, got a feeling the bonnet will need work, bonnet catch also...(you don`t wanna f**k that up!) looking at the two cars, I`d say the guard/door will line up at the hinge area...I`ve been wrong before though

There is a pic floating around here of an XF wagon with XH front.

Actually, they`re the same thing, you use XF bases and the mounts that come with the engine...I just get p****d off with the whole "just use XG parts, same car but OHC" s**t...every person who posts that obviously has never even looked at an XG or an XF engine bay...still funny on the XH front thing though...you know, it might grow on me after a while...AUs did, but only burgundy ones...with Ticky badges...and nice wheels...and...OK, I`ll shut up now

Yeah, it could grow on me, I spose...s**t of work though, then again I was told that about my cluster too. I`d dare say the lights and front bar would be the worst of it, would wanna see one at the wreckers and start measuring...I spent a day at pick-a-part playing with an EF handbrake setup, dummying it in an XF and trying to see how I`d get it in to mine, measuring and scratching my head...won`t be too hard really.

You mentioned the dash too, I`ve seen an XH dash in an XF and an EF/L dash in an XE, apart from the wiring issues, the worst bit was neatening it up on the corners at the bottom of the pillar, there was anoticeable gap...bloke got around that with a nice molded dash mat, would`nt know otherwise...

Saved them pix to my `puter, too many bourbons to make a judgement ATM...see what I think in the morning...either way, go for it mate...it`s your car, and it`ll be a very unique car at that.

if you do the conversion let me know how it goes as a mate wants to do the same conversion to his XF panelvan. he's also thinking of putting in an EF 4.0 with 5 speed/dash and wiring loom.
