Does anyone know where I can get a new or, if possible, reconditioned Fuel Sender Unit for a Ford XH Ute?

I couldn't find anyone locally to reco mine, Ford told me it was obsolete so won't be able to get one of them and it doesn't seem to be part of rarespares range yet.

Anyone know where I can get one of these?

Hi, There is a place called Insparts in Wangaratta Vic that I just got one from - through a Instrument shop in Canberra - cost me $48, but it works a treat ... seeing as you can't buy them anymore from ford ... I don't know whether Insparts sell to the public but worth checking out - send them an email or phone them up and I am sure they would be able to help ...

They make them from one sided PCB and use a small surface mount resistor and some fine resistor wire wound around the section where the pick up arm touches - If you get a new one like it make sure you carefully scrape the gold surface coating off the wire so the small contact arm can make electrical contact ... (won't work otherwise) Easy fitment....

Details : http://www.insparts.com.au click on their Stockist link to find someone near your location and order through them - I think the XH would be the same as my XG and the Inspart number for mine was Part#4993 Resistor. (check to confirm though).

Hope this helps -
Cheers,
Greg
