Hi guys, new to the forum and fords in general. Have just bought an xh panel van for towing my burnout car and would like to drop a v8 in. Have read a fair few topics but seem to be getting conflicting ideas. Basically I'm planning on buying a complete car so I should have most of the things I'll need for the swap. As far as I can tell I should just need the v8 engine mounts as the crossmembers are the same, does this sound right?
Can I use a V8 and auto from an ED for the swap? Have access to 2 with low kays on them, or do I need to use an el or ef?
Anything else I need to know?

Eb box will fit
Eb to El mounts are the same
tail shaft is 30 ish mm shorter for the V8 box
Try to find an XH series 2 V8 loom ... Makes the job plug and play .. Also gives you remote central lock and cruise control

I know this is a hell old post now but how did you go with the conversion? Im currently looking at doing an eb 5L to xh panelvan conversion.

What loom are you going to use ?
