Haven't we covered that you should remove it and actually try to fix it instead of bandaid-ing it...

Read the entirety of this post... You were going to remove it previously and try to fix the issue and let us know what you found... How did you go with that?

Or are you just going to keep making new posts every week in search of some simple magic remedy?

Cheers,
Tim

I've replaced the xh circuit board with an ef low series circuit board. I could get it to second accessories but no fire at all. Now I have removed the smartlock bypass module and the smartlock is just flashing like normal as if the car is turned off. But now I can't even get it to second accessories. The key has been in the on position for 20 mins now so just waiting for something to happen.

Are you sure the barrel isn't buggered?

Borrow one and just plug it in and see if that fixes your issues before mounting it to the column...

There is 3 parts to smartlock... The bem, the barrel and wiring between them... One of yours is broken...

Cheers,
Tim

Okay well I'll try borrowing another barrel. Any barrel in particular?

Ben,

Na mate... EBII through to EL and the XG and XH would have the same barrel I'd think... The sedans definitely do... I'd think the ute does too...

Cheers,
Tim

Would it be better to just get a tuned j3 chip instead of another barrel? Only because of the fact I just got a spare key cut.

Tim,
I've been fiddling with the wiring from the barrel and the car goes to second accessories but won't turn over. Is that still the barrel? And was there anything else I had to do after I swapped the ef circuit board (black) over to the xh case (glacier) ? Smartlock is flashing 13 times in 5 seconds. Fuel is primed ready to go I just need to make it go!

easy solution, fit smartlock bypass to ecu and join the starter circuit in and out wires together at the bem.. this will bypass the starter circuit in the module

So pull them put of the pin connector solder them together to nothing or put them back in the pin? The smartlock bypass I have is black and says smartlock bypass module, is this the right one?

join them together so they no longer go into the bem..

and yes the smartlock bypass is the one you wire into the ecu
