Alright! Some straight answers!
I went down and seen the Ford dealer today (shoulda asked ages ago). The "flares" are a genuine part but are listed as "Splashguards". The rollbar etc may be genuine but there is no part number on it. The spare parts fella reckons it looks genuine but couldn't be sure and it didn't come up on the specs list. The ute itself is GLI  but had cruise optioned on. The LSD was fitted after market.
The interesting thing was I checked my car while there. It is a 10/92 EB. According to previous owner it had XR6 wheels and suspension optioned at the factory. Both are on the car (obviously). When doing the same check on my car as the ute the only info that come up was that it was an SPak optioned with ABS. It didn't even come up with interior trim or rear axle ratio! Has anybody got any idea why? :?

Slightly offtopic, was the Outback the one with the bigger/extra fuel tank?

Yeah the outback had two fuel tanks. The space is ther on mine for one but no plumbing. Was thinking about fitting one myself.............but I could never afford to fill both of them at once!

The second tank is smaller than the main tank.
Air cleaner setup on the Outbacks look pretty spekky as well . . . .

These were definatley fitted at the factory (options list at Ford says they were fitted to a vehicle with my VIN). While talking about XR8s I didn't think Ford ever actually released an XH version? I know they did an XR6 and a V8 but I was under the impression the only XH XR8s were XH v8s with an XR front :?

They sure did make XHii XR8 utes. They made 624 of them and the majority were auto's. I managed to get hold of a manual one.

Yeah I thought they must have because I've seen a few of them around. Think I read the other info in that crap mag street machine. Lucky you got a manual cos I hunted high and low just for a standard XH with a manual!
