Thats good. Ford no longer make them.
What about the lower seat? How are they bolted near the gear shift?
Cheers

There should be a bracket on the front, bolts straight into the floor at the gear shifter. Should be some threads already there.

Bugger,
No holes there. This is getting annoying.
Not sure what to do now!

I just fitted the centre seat to my XH. Took the console out, cut it in half and the back part is now on casters and I use it as a work seat for my bike.
The biggest hassle are the brackets, if you have them great. To line the back rest up is VERY fiddly. You have to make a template and drill from the front to the back. You have to get them exact! I used a 1.5 inch High tensile wide head bolt from boltmasters to fit the back to the the rear wall, The bolts that hold the brackets to the seat are the same as the ones that hold the fuel tank in. So you should be able to get them. The easiest way to fit the front of the seat near the gear stick is to pull the gear boot off and hold nylocks or similiar on the mounting bolts. Lot easier than trying to fit fitted nuts. I have a photo somewhere of the factory fit, I will try and upload it to my photos.
Leaving the front half of the console in was a bit of a nuisance but it has my trip computer in it. 8-)
I had to get an engineering certificate to register it as it wasn't factory fitted.

Also I am after the sump guard as well. So if anyone has one. Ring Me!! :D

Cheers

Hey fellas, I have an XG manual, which had the ea style centre console.... Garbage, and no cup holders...
So, $40 at pick-a-part and a ripped the entire centre console out of an au3 (the black one)... I believe it should dump straight in, as ive removed the heater ducts from under it (being a ute, dont need em)...
The rear screws straight into the side if the rear of the tunnel, and the front bolts to the floor. I dont have pics of it in yet, but I can show a photo of the stripped out interior if youd like? As im in the process of pimpn my xg now...

Would like to see a picture so I can decide what to do with my XH. The centre console sucks balls in it.

Thats why I changed mine too... Plus, no cup holders in a manual, meant my morning coffee run was a hazard for my future children.
I got the idea I think from here, or fordforums or somewhere....
Google images might show something? Looks nice as, and they come in grey too.
