you can port it thru to the cabin, but it's not really nessacary, bass is mainly vibrations.

ive just got a sub sealed sub box that sits firm in my tray that plugs in and plugs as i please, plus my tonno has no leaks at all, but still comes out if there chance of rain

just remember if you mount a sub between the seats and cut a hole this makes the ute illegal
ie you cannot cut any steel out of the vechile . cops in nsw and qld are startin to defect for this
better to put sub under tray,works quite well

geezuz thanx for that advise, i saw a xg in a car yard the other day with the hole cut out and had a rubber edge protector on it and it looked like it was a stock feature, was it ever a stock feature?

If something is done properly they wont worry otherwise another option is getting an engineers cert around $500. But i wouldnt worry about it. I know a few people who have cut the rear firewall out under the bottem of there utes and moved it back for extra storage space and theve never had any probs
