Ride: XHII XR8 Ute - Supercharged

Location: Perth
WA, Australia

I picked up an XH series 2 XR8 ute cheap. I've put all running gear in my XF.
Only problem is the ute's dash was missing (all the wiring there - no instrument cluster though)

So should i try and wire up my old XF dash to new loom (or have someone do it) or chase down EL (or XH if i can find one) intrument cluster. i beleive the EL cluster will fit straight in?

Problem is i bought a Max Elerys workshop manual for XH and the wiring diagram is BullS***!!! It is very hard to follow.

Any suggestions or if anyone has a decent wiring diagram that would be very much appreciated!!

Cheers

Both EF & EL clusters will do the trick...

There is no difference in clusters for V8 or 6 either, don't let anyone tell you differently. :!:
Forget about the XF cluster, it won't be compatible with signals from the EEC-V & engine sensors.

Use the XH wiring & splice in the sedan rear wiring.

Try to get hold of a genuine Ford XH Workshop Manual, it's the best to use, very informative & shows schematics as well as the loom layout.

Good luck!!!

Whats left of the XH? I need some bits..

G'day

How bout putting the front end on your xf. I thought about doing the conversion but i didn't want to pay for the new panels but your allready there. It has been done before and looks quite good.
Just a thought.

Cheers
