Thanks cjh. If you ask me, there kits are way to much money$$$$ i could just about fit a blower for the same price! I have worked out that if the towers need to go the only way for me is to bring in a mustang 2 frontend from the USA! Which i can have landed for about $2000 here, or go with the old L300 option. But i have just found Via a mustang owner in America, that theres a notching kit made over there, that comes with springs and the lot for $600US Bargain

RRS stuff is dear, probably paying for the R&D that goes into it, pass ADR's too, etc,etc....

I've got all the RRS front end in my XP (it's expensive but it works!) but from memory, the shock tower notching kit was only $300... You dont have to go with all the other hi-po gear... just the notching kit.

does the notching kit fit with the standard springs? (are't the standard springs a lot larger in diameter than the rrs struts?)

mate notched his xk sedan engine bay to fit a 390, no problems.
just had a sheet metal place cut a piece to match his template out of 3mm steel, and then just folded a right angle off the bottom. iirc he gained at least 2" each side at the lowest point i would also suggest a strut brace as his bonnet gaps either side got smaller after a while |

This might sound simplistic, but is it worth trial fitting or even measuring the clevo to see how tight in the engine bay? I've seen windsors but I'm almost certain a guy at trade school had an XP sedan with a 302 cleveland years ago - he used to b**ch about plug changes being very tight...
