Hi XF84, I am in the process of doing the same engine swap in my pano'.
How much clearance did your 'multitool' (hammer) give you for the compressor? I used the bellhousing, starter motor and hydraulic clutch from my clevo FC LTD(T5).My starter motor is on the drivers side. How much did your extractors cost to get made as I need to do the same.
I would love to see your engine bay as a reference point for anything else I need to modify.I am in sydney for a while so please P.M. me if you are willing to discuss conversions.

Sorry mate, havent read in here for a while. Im overseas now, but maybe when i get home u can check it out....

As for the second question on the firewall - no doesnt have to be modded. XD/XE/XF same s**t different heater boxes

bolts straight in like it was made for it (just like an XE). being a windsor had no probs clearing heater cores (where a clevo would have)

Mate, I gather u had to swap the steering columns over. If so was it a straight swap or did u need to mod the XH cloumn to fit??
I'm in the process of doing something similar myself.
Cheers

G,day

steering column swap was pretty much straight swap, except i cut the end off the xh column, and off the xf one. then welded the xf end onto the xh column - so i could still use xf steering box.

just make sure u line it up as close as possible, and make sure the weld is a good one!

by the way this is done cos xh uses rack and pinion

hope that helps ya

Quick question. how did ou go passing emissions with a pod filter? And where did you hook up the vacuum lines for heater/AC/climate control?
