Hi I have a 351 clevo in XW falcon I have started conversion to a manual. I have fitted alloy ford racing valve covers to engine and from what I can see there seems to be very little room for the clutch master cylinder to fit between firewall and back of valve cover. I am just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there is a solution for it. maybe there is a short cylinder available or something.

Hi I have an XD with 383 Clevo and the tall Ford Racing covers with a standard clutch master, no problems. It should fit, that part of the fire wall is the same or as near as "dam" is to swearing. They do angle up on the XD I think the XW,s do as well. They are only tall in the centre not the outside. Regards T.P.V.M.

There are a couple of different clutch master cylinders available for that application. Is the cap on your m/c real close to the firewall seam, or does is kinda lean forward towards the motor? IIRC, the one that sit's closer to the firewall seam should give you enough room. Try talking to your local clutch & brake place, and see what they have.
Good luck.
