I need to know what transmission the 302 fairlane would have.
it is either C4, C9 or C10.
1981 or 1982 model.

IIRC 302's got the C4, 351's got the FMX

the C10 was just a beefed up C4.... dunno about the C9

C4's and C10's are virtually identical, one's just a newer updated model. The C9's were virtually a truck box i think.

C4 and C10 are the same apart from the valve body and torque converter. The C10 were a bit stronger for towing and hard driving due to more pressure on the clutches....
