something that would be easy to install would be great of course!!

i wanna do the LED conversion, but iv been told that the ZL Cluster cant be changed fromt he putrid green....

ideas? suggestions?

cheers guys :)

I think ul find it harder as the newer clusters used different voltage signals, so the intruments wont work when u wire it up.

if u knew what voltage was needed where and u knew electronics u could wire in resistors or transisters to bring voltage up/down and make it work....

i think its too much effort

its been done nearly 100% successfully, the only bits that didnt quite work perfectly was the fuel sender/gauge

the bigger dramas are trimming the cluster shroud to match (and getting it to look good too), mounting the cluster (unless you get a cluster w/the mounting bracket that apparently the XG's had) and making the conversion harness to allow you to plug the new cluster into the XF loom

EF/EL is quite possible to do, provided you transfer the entire body loom over from the donor car, plus the complete dash from a XH

Not true. My donor car was an XH. Which is why im running XH ecu, XH fuel pump etc. All the electronic signalks are completely different, and unlike the XF, the XH/EF/XL gets most of its info (like speedo, rpm etc) from ecu. If u unplug cluster, ecu goes into limp home mode. Its a different setup from XD-ED

when i say body loom, i mean EVERY electrical circuit in the car
