hey George just wondering if xg door hinges where still avail new?
and $$$ if so or, do I have to go the repin mine route

You should be able to use the XH hinges, they are still available but not cheap.
The two upper ones EHC P22800 A $97.00 ea, 2 lower ones EHC P22806 A $97.00 ea.

There are pins and bushes serviced for these hinges too, bushes are XD F22841 A x 8 $3.10 ea and
Pins EHC P22840 A x 4 $7.50 ea, there are clips needed for the bottom of the pin but Ford in their wisdom has obsoleted them.
To use these pins you would need to grind off the OLD pins and drive them out then you will be able to reassemble the hinge using the pins and find something to retain them like a circlip?

George

thanks george
have the bushes already and have a set of xf hinges with circlips so may just repin/bush them
so i am up for pins then
thanks for the advice

Papa Smurf, just wondering, when did the dovetail spoiler (the one that poked out behind the boot rather than sat above) become available on the early E series Falcons? Was it the EA S or the EB XR? And was it a genuine Ford part?

Remove passenger side kick panel, remove phillips screw holding earth wire and retaining strap, gently pull ecu out far enough to get 10mm spanner onto retaining bolt on top of ecu which holds loom in, undo bolt until it undo's no more. Loom should now be free and ECU should be in your hand.

It'll be one of those security bolts that you need to grind the head off. Just replace it with a normal bolt when you put it back in.

But be careful, its very easy to grind the earth wire too.

Lol, my one was screwed. The old AU wasnt a virgin after all.

That Lip Spoiler was started in EA and yes was genuine.

hi papa smurf, what a sensational wealth of knowledge you bring that couldn't be matched by my local ford dealer... lol.
can you tell me if it's possible to buy the parts to make my AUIIxr6 into a '1 tonner' ? i'm under the impression it's a different brake master cylinder with an additional slave cylinder with an actuator arm...
