That's excellent George, helps a lot. Thank you!

The capacity is between 80 and 90 litres, depends on the weather.

Any ideas if the suspension parts that make an RTV taller can be bought and fitted to an AU and their cost?
Thanks.

Both front crossmembers are different and the one under the engine has 2 extra brackets fitted, the Stub Axles are different, front springs and shocks are RTV specific, Rear shocks, rear springs and the RTV has tramp rods plus a spring spacer fitted.

It would be viable if you HAD an RTV but to buy parts, especially new, would negate the usefulness of the change.
The total cost of all the parts that would need to be changed is $5487.00

Thanks George, I couldnt find that info anywhere else.

Interesting to see the crossmembers are different.

I am pretty sure that the parts used for the Boss engines are FPV specific.
There are 2 different piston and ring sets Grade 1 BAT 6K109 AKT, grade 2 BAT 6K109 BKT $2,497.00 each, the Conrod bearings 8 x BAF 6211 A $60.00, mains 5 x BAFP 6333 C, 4 x BAFP 6333 B, 1 x BAFP 6333 A $132.00, Eng Gaskets 1 x BAFP 6079 A, 1 x BAFP 6E078 A $1899.00, Head bolts 20 x 2R3Z 6065 BA $820.00 for the set.

There is 3 different grade bearings and rings for the 260 kw and the above pistons and rings are for the 290kw. We have never repaired any of these engines as the only problem they have had so far has been oil burning problems and we just replace a complete engine and returnt the old eng to FPV.

Would appear that these parts are mustang derivatives but I cannot tell much more as we have no access to late model American Ford parts, 2002 is the last we had access to.

Its for a manual V8

Brett you read my mind. I also am hunting a part number for the V8 clutch cable, I am sure you already know ef/el pedal boxes are the same. Do a Mal Wood pin. It will always be cheaper.

Pedal Box is still available part number EF 2467 M $293.00 and the Clutch Cable is EL 7K553 B $105.00. We have both in stock and of course the price would be lower.

This is just a small ask.

I have no problem with getting prices for people or for sending parts away or even getting tech info (if I can) but just one little thing that kind of irks me, when people get their parts from me some let me know and some do not. I am not looking for a pat on the back or Kudos of any kind, just would like to know that people get whet I send and in good condition so, if people could remember to just drop a line via pm or in this thread I would feel so much better knowing you people get them.

One other thing, I can help with prices and stuff until the 24th of this month and at a pinch send parts up unit the 22nd and then I will be off work until the 4th of January 2011.

I wish you all a GREAT Christmas and hope that everyone comes back to us here safe and well in 2011.
