ok doesnt look like the pics loaded, the bumper breakdown is on page 76.

i have the spotlights from my g6e, are they the same part number on the gt? i have the silver spotlight surround that shows outside the bumper, but cant work out how the spotlights attach. is there a bracket that should be there to hold the in place?

also need the parts marked ref section a04.005, i think there should be a left and right of each.

and lastly the mounting base for the grill badge, and the badge itself.

price info and if they are restricted items would be of immense help thanks george.
cheers in advance mate

The parts you wanted from sect 04.005 are not needed, they are the same as what you have on your car already. The fog lamps are the same but you will need brackets to fit them to the bar, part number BGFP 15266 A $31.15 and BGFP 15267 A $30.45.

The grille badge is restricted to FPV vehicles only but I am sure someone like FTG can get them, Vic dealers don't seem to take much notice of the restricted items. Part number for the badge is BGFP 8K141 AA $48.40. The base for the badge is SYF6 8W008 A $87.40.

Papa, can you please tell me how much it would be to get a genuine F6 body kit to suit a FG XR6?

lol mate if its anything like the BF you would be looking at 10k or so, i originally looked into it and ford were charging 2k a side skirt for the bf GT, about 3.7k for a rear bar and about the same for the front.

Will be interesting to see what George comes back with reagrding the FG's

There is NO body kit available, all the F6 parts are availble only for F6 and Ford will not sell to anyone who has not got one. Having said that, I know people like FTG auto salvage and the Ford Wreckers at narellan seem to be able to get onto this stuff and frankly, that is the avenue you should be going down.
The F6 front bar alone without grilles or surrounds just the plastic bits is $2600.00. By the time you add all the other parts it wouldn't be worth it.

Holy hell! Ok then, looks like I'll go down the generic road, as I've found a mob that'll get me the whole kit, front/rear bar, skirts and spoiler for ~$2,299 then about $120 worth of beer to get my panel beater mate to spray and fit them. Might be the best option?

tonka

EDIT; okay so after posting I searched Google a little harder and found this mob that are offering the full F6 body kit for an FG for $1840AUD. Good idea? Has anyone dealt with these guys before? http://www.carmate.com.au/product_details.php?productid=FDFAL08F6FKRW

They are about 5 mins drive from where I live, I have never bought from them but I haven't heard anything bad about them either. I don't like the idea though of paying a surcharge for picking a part up...

Yeah, I'm in Camden so it's only about 30-35mins away from me as well. I think that might be the most cost effective way for me to do it as I'm already paying $40k for my car, don't want to spend another $15-$20k on a body kit. All up I'm thinking about spending $2,500 on making it look like an FPV. Hopefully should be able to do it!

car mate arnt too bad, i remember speaking to another memeber on here who bought from them and it fitted pretty good from what he said. Thats a decent deal if you can get it sprayed and fitted or $300 as trust me it can be quite tedious to get it to fit nice. I been through the whole thing with my car making it into a BF GT.

Yeah mate, I've seen it driving on Woodville Rd a few times. I should be able to get all the parts painted for next to nothing, probably just materials. Should look good when I'm finished, going to be proud to take her to Livo on a Friday night and meet up with a few of you boys.

Hey George,

Can you tell me if left and right rear leaf springs are different to each other in the AU utes? Styleside, not 1 tonne.

I put stock springs back in and I think the drivers side is a fair bit lower than the passenger side.

Left and Right are the same springs.
