Hello George!
Can you please tell me, on the front of the rear leaf springs on my AU XLS ute, it looks like there is two different mounting positions. At the moment it is in the front position. The position behind it, is up a little and back. If I were to change the leaf position, firstly is it possible, and what effect will it have? I'm hoping it would raise the rear end height a bit but am not sure if the current leaf will be too long?
Cheers, Ash

I am not totally sure but have been told this is a mounting position for 1 tonners. Evidently they use it as well on the RTV?
One can only try I guess, the part number for the 1 tonne spring is different but I guess that would be because of the springs settings and not necessarily length.
Hope that helps. :)

Hey Papa Smurf,
just wondering if you could help me out with a price for an AUII XR6 fuel regulator? Also just a few other little details on the side... is there another regulator that will work with the same rail (eg BA,etc)? and are the AUII XR injectors the same as standard AUII's?
thanks

The XR6 regulator is now obsolete but there are a few dealers still with stock. The part costs $144.00 part number ERT 9C968 A. The BA/BF standard 6cyl uses the AU standard type, the BA Turbo has a different one, unfortunately I can't give you the pressure rating. Part number for the BA/BF Turbo one is BA 9C968 B $140.00.
The AU injectors for 6cyl are all the same. BA/BF 6cyl use only 1 type injector.

Just a little reminder to everyone.

When I add prices here they are retail. I cannot put prices here that are trade or better as this IS a public forum and other people, possibly from Dealers, would see them and complain to Ford or to the dealer principal of Thomson Ford and this would then cease.

I like helping people and if requested in a PM I can quote a better price and it is therefore a one on one Transaction.

Believe me then I tell you that this dealership KNOWS I do this and keeps an eye on it  :D

I use to help out a lot of friends when I worked in the parts game, on my clock, and I got a drilling about it several times.

No they don't, they do keep an eye on what goes on here I know. :D

As long as they don't tell me to stop :)

I am pretty sure they are standard on all the BF's mine is an SR (basically a XT) and has them, albeit they do fall out alot when you shut the door, even when super glued in!

The only Falcon to get the sating chrome ones were the BF's. I have been told you can fit the BF rears to the front trims on BA's but I can't substantiate that.
They rear BF satin chrome are BAF F27442 A $31.60 and BAF F27443 A9 $30.60.
