Hey George, can you provide the key cut code for a particular VIN ??
Mine have gone walkabouts . I take it you'll need a rego form scan or other proof of ownership ??

here goes a long shot... would you happen to know the colour code for the blue in the ford badge, and also the colour code of the cluster background in an AUII XR (im assuming they are the same in all AUII XR's, but if not its a black XR6 ute AUII 2001)...
cheers...

We don't have access to that info unfortunately. You COULD try to phone Ford on 133 673 and ask if they can help, no guarentees. |

Hey Papa Smurf, I've been wondering for some time... you'd know about how its
generally been a problem where people get an EL or AU motor in their early E series cars...they or their mechanic put in a Distributor... months later problems often seem to occur due to distributor drive helical gear wearing out the AUXilary shaft gear where those two run together... opinions vary, some believe its mostly because a distributor which is not E series OEM shall we say, is used (helical gear is not cut 'exactly' to the correct OEM angle)...others point to people plainly not resetting the tension correctly on the Cam Chain via the Tensioner... My question IS, IS the part number for EA, EB, EF, EL, AU (Ser 1, shall we say) AUX Shafts ALL the same?? IF the part no's are different, does this necessarily mean that the shaft itself was different? (E.G. could have had a slightly different angle cut on that gear on the AUX shaft...)???(or is the no. all the same, so you would think any E [& AU?] AUX shaft would be interchangeable into any version of the E)... Cheers in advance... |

Cheers in advance... ive done this enquiry and they are the same part number and are now obsolete, ive also fitted a eb aux shaft to an au block and they are all the same.. there are a few things that case the shaft to chew the gear.. a old worn dizzy with excesive shaft play, a tight partially siezed worn dizzy, and some cheap aftermarket replacement dizzies, i had a new aftermarket dizzy kill one of my au engines and the dizzy gear was cast off centre which destroyed the aux shaft.. |

I can give you prices but they are a restricted part and only available to an FPV FG owner. The Front is $48.40 and the Rear $47.45. I don't know if other Ford dealers would be willing to LIE to get these but ours doesn't, sorry. |
