They are bloody ridiculous in price, some wheels actually get as high as $900.00 each. Amazing for wheels that are made in china.

hey papa smurf got some questions for you.

first is what colour does a smurf go when you strangle it? lol

but no really on the fg there is an ipod input that is an option. the kit costs approx $400. sits in the centre console, has a pocket for the ipod, a dedicated ipod cable, and it charges the ipod while using. i have that unit, however theres a cable that routes around under the centre console and connects to the hmi unit or somewhere behind the dash, which is what im missing. is it possible to buy that cable seperatley? and if so how much? is that cable pre installed on any cars that get this as an option, to save hassles? (i have a g6e. i wouldnt be suprised to find wiring and plugs installed that only get used when options are ordered.)

The throttle body is the same for both XR and normal. You would afre better by putting a larger snorkel on your car. If you have the EF air cleaner setup you will be better off as well because the outlet to the throttle hose is a larger diameter one. :)

maybe you can adapt the snorkel from the BA/AU XR to fit? they have the same size fitting at the air claner base but I don't know how you would go with fitting the the rad suprt?.

Hi George, Can you tell me the release dates for the AU's ie Series I, Series II and Series III.

AU1 07/1998, AU1.5 06/1999, AUII 03/2000, AUIII 04/2001

Hey George, been a while since I've been able to read some posts so doing some catching up while at the olds.

My AUII plated ute is a build date of 06/2001. Would what you stated above relate to sedans only or is there something amiss with mine?

There were inconsistencies with AU Utes. They started them off in 1999, well after the release of the AU series sedans. So many vehicles are not what they are meant to be. The chnage for utes was 06/2001 but that is NOT set in stone either :( Bloody silly stuff.
We had a BA mkII ute here the other day that had a build date that should have made it a BF but, it WAS a BA MK II, go figure?
PM me your VIN and I will check for yo :D

Would that explain why the fuel filter for my AU2 ute is different to the part listed for an AU2 at repco?

I went back and got one for an IRS model that fit.

simple - hardest part was trimming engine cover - not applicable to an I6 just a hole or two the d/s hole lines up the others? and it rubbed a bit on power steering pulley which was fixed by heating area with hair dryer then use screwdriver handle to depress area where needed :D :D

ALL AU utes have the same filter. It has a nut fitting either end, the only other fuel filter available is for the standard sedans and they have one nut fitting and a push on type hose fitting. I think the guys at repco must have been looking wrong.

Unfortunately Troy all the Fairlane cables are long gone :(
Better brakes used to make handbrake cables for just about anything, I don't know if they still do but maybe worth a try?
