papa smurf, is there any pedal pads available for the fg series, like they had in the ba/bf range? by pedal pads i mean the steel look covers that go over your accelarator and brake pedals, usually found in the fpv's. if they are available are they the same parts as a ba/bf, or different part number? cheers in advance

Brake and Clutch pedal pads are the same as BF.
Ford show a different number for the Accelerator pedal. But, I think you could get away with the Kit that Ford supplies for the Manual BA/BF if you have the Adjustable Accel pedal. It costs $110.00, part number BA 2C541AA.

There is an Auto Kit for $283.00, part number BAF 2K541A but the Accelerator pedal you have on now needs to be an Adjustable one?

These are listed for vehicles 2005 and onwards but I can't see why you couldn't use them?
In the pic, the one on the right is the adjustable type pedal. :)

what do you mean by adjustable? what part can adjust? if i remember the ba accelerator pedal pad had a rubber backing and just basically slipped over the bare pedal?

To be honest I haven't seen one except in the Parts Catalogue, In the Pic I posted, take a look at the part 9G736 and the 9N736A, they are parts for the Adjustable pedal.

The FG does have a special pedal for the Accelerator with the Metal Pad, BG 9N736B $174.00 for Automatic and BG 9N736D $176.00 for Manual.

Sorry I didn't give you a good enough description. Here is a pic of the FG pedals, the one on the right is the metal one.

It would appear that the Engine wiring loom is different for the VCT in AUI, II, III.
The wiring harness is also different for Man and Auto, the trans wiring comes with
the trans harness.

The ECU Harness only is different for LPG and ABS. The standard one is ER 12A581C $487.00, the ABS one is ER 12A581A $526.00, the ABS with LPG AUC 12A581A $812.00. Hope that helps :D

Matt, saw your other post and answered it there sorry :D ford-interior-f14/can-you-still-get-eb-gt-gear-boots-t83621.html

As to the boot surround, you cannot get them new anymore for the GT :( The standard one is still available, maybe you can use it and make it look like the GT?
This guy sells woodgrain inserts for EA/EB/ED manual and auto's http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-EA-EB-ED-NA ... 911.c0.m14

The ECU (the left side) harness is separate, the Engine compartment harness on the Right side is separate, The main engine compartment harness is separate and the you have an Engine wiring harness.

Here are pics
The first pic, items 1,3,9 are the 3 harnesses

Second pic Item 1 is the engine/trans loom

Papa, I need to know mate!

Is there any possible way to get a code for a EL factory head deck if the vin number is lost? A mate of mine on here B0XCAR has just picked up a full cappa interior for his car and has no need for the head deck. But he never got the code for it and obviously does not have the vin number from the car it came from.

Cheers

Dear Papa Smurf,

I'm in need of genuine EL Fairmont Ghia front chrome bumper inserts, are they still available? If not might you know of the manufacturing company that made them for Ford?

The ONLY ones still available from Ford are the Fairmont ones, the Ghia/Fairlane/LTD are now obsolete.
The Fairmont ones, EL 17E914D and EL 17E915D are $150.00 each.
A bloke that Troyman located for his ED moulds may be able to assist?
