I need something else before I forget too. Is any of the exhaust system available for an AU 1 XR6 VCT? If so, what price?

I haven't tried aftermarket yet. I think I just need the tailpipe, but the whole system is different for the VCT, goes to twin pipes for a section and has tricky mufflers and stuff. I have a feeling this will hurt. Its the missuss's car, so I don't want to slap on a noisy system, and we have replaced everything with genuine so far.

Thanks PapaSmurf.

Matey, SHOCK COMING

The front muffler AUTVE 5230 A $1371.00, rear muffler AU2TVE 5K214 BA $1616.70.

I would be looking at a nice MADE system. :D

after the ambulance guys deal with him,so i guess the pipes are free?

Is that for both pipes or just one? Its a twin system. Very odd, the second tip is hidden up behind the bumper. Price doesn't surprise me.

Let me know how you go with the doortrim LIGHTS too :D

We have 4 of those lights in stock if you need them. :)

And, that exhaust system is in just 2 pieces, 1 front and the rear section.

Just to clarify this PapaSmurf, I meant the little lights in the corners of the doortrims. NF/NL, DF/DL and EL Ghias had them. They were courtesy lights, oval shaped. High Series AUs had them too. Are they available, and the same on AU or not? I didn't mean the doortrims :P

Off to Ford now to order my badge and bootlid plugs.

The lamps of the EF/EL range are obsolete but the ones for the AU are available. AU 13777 A6 is the number, $36.50 each. :)

The cost was already mentioned and you cold try a local Ford dealer but up to Papa Smurf if he wants to post the items

I have another for you. EF XR6 Rear Upper control arms? From body to diff?
Front left Indicator for EF Fairmont?

Also, can you get prices on acessories? Are any genuine EF/L Fairmont/Ghia/Falcon floormats still available? or AU/BA/BF/FG ones?

Genuine Headlight protectors for EF Fairmont?

I went and got my Badge and grommets the other day, may have even been slightly cheaper than what you quoted. Got them from Rebel Ford.

Thanks very much :D

Hi Papa Smurf
I put my ED Falcon wagon in to have the hoses replaced. After a charge of $410, they told me they still hadn't been able to get to the thin hose under the manifold, and that it would probably cost me another $200 in labour.
Hence, I didn't get the hose replaced. My questions are: What is the hose called? How much should it cost?
My friend is willing to try and remove the manifold for me to get to the hose to replace it. I guess we will need a new gasket for the manifold? Part number? Cost?
Being not mechanical in any way, but willing to learn to save myself being overcharged just because I am female, any advice you have would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Welcome to the forum :)
I don't know why the mechanic couldn't do it for you without wanting the EARTH? :(
The small hose is 400mm long and the internal diameter is 10mm I believe? From a Ford dealer you are looking at $12.00 part no V 8900065 S400W. Undoing the inlet manifold might get better access but no guarantee, you SHOULD be able to access it from under the car? It is connected to the main pipe that goes from the back of the water pump to near the back of the inlet manifold and the other end connects to the short pipe that goes into the thermostat housing.

The inlet manifold is also bolted to a bracket at the bottom which is a bugger ti get out and in my opinion, not necessary. Disconnecting the heater hoses may allow you better access? worth a try.
If you DO go the way of undoing the inlet manifold, the NEW gasket will cost you $51.50 part no
EA 9461 A from a Ford dealer.

The hose you want is number 6 in the pic.

Hi again Papa Smurf. A mate just bought an EF Futura wagon, I'd like a few prices.

-Two Black buttons (Just the top plastic bit you see) for EF Futura front elec window switches.
-Steering wheel If avail? Just the plain grey polyurethane item.
-Drivers seat base fabric trim? (just the trim that fits over the base)
-Headlights

Also, for an EF Fairmont, how much for all the black buttons off the centre power window switch panel?

And grey EL Sedan seatbelts?

Thanks again, and I'll understand if alot of this is obsolete.
