Hi again Papa Smurf. A mate just bought an EF Futura wagon, I'd like a few prices.

-Two Black buttons (Just the top plastic bit you see) for EF Futura front elect window switches.
-Steering wheel If avail? Just the plain Grey polyurethane item.
-Drivers seat base fabric trim? (just the trim that fits over the base)
-Headlights

Also, for an EF Fairmont, how much for all the black buttons off the centre power window switch panel?
And Grey EL Sedan seat-belts?
Thanks again, and I'll understand if a lot of this is obsolete.

Ok, the Strg wheel is obsolete and the seat trim.

You can't buy just the buttons for the pwr window switches, you have to replace the whole panel with the switches, part number for the 2 switch type is EF 14505 B $103.00, the 4 button one is
EF 14505 C $259.00.
EF Gli/Futura headlights, EF 13005 CL R/H and EF 13006 CL L/H $275.00 each.
Early EL Seat-belts, Grey -11/97 R/H EL F611B08 A1 $297.00, L/H EL F611B09 A1 is obsolete. The change is in the buckle between models.

Sorry to say but, the EF/EL dog leg moulds are long since dead except for L/H EF Fairmont one, part number EF N291A35 C $23.00, the others are obsolete. :(

Hey George, just a quick one. Are AU and BA sun visors the same?

Ash, they DO have different part numbers but I cannot see why you couldn't add the BA ones to an AU and vice versa. :)

Can I please get a price on a waterpump for an EF 6?

I used an aftermarket one, but the performance doesn't compare to even the worn out genuine one.

Thanks PapaSmurf.

Hi Papa today i noticed my front brake calipers on the BA have the holes drilled on the front of them. Does that mean my BA has the MK II calipers? I remember us talking about this on Friday night. My BA is an AUG 04 model.

Cheers,
Shaun.

Yes mate, they ARE the MKII BA types that have a modified diameter for the pistons. It was a fix that Ford did to stop partial brake fade on the front and also to stop some of the pulsations under hard braking. :)

Papa Smurf I have a question,

I have found that the fan in my ED is now very weak, I replaced the resistor unit thingo and think it is down to an actual fan motor, does Ford still stock this item? And are they the same as EF/EL

Cheers Mate

Yes you can still buy the Fan Motor. On EA/EB/ED they were a problem. Get ready for a crappy job in replacing it. You will need to take the Dash out then remove the Heater case and take it out that way.
The EF/EL/AU are all the same as the ED and it would be advantageous to replace the actual Fan rotor as well. The Fan part number is ED 19805 A $316.00 and the Fan Rotor ED 19D583 A $64.00.

I am sure that a scan of Ebay or a quick check of your local Wrecker could produce a cheaper result. :)

Ah so the EF/EL/AU use an ED fan do they? (All I have done is changed the vacuum pack and fan resistor on an ED Fairmont heaterbox), I am going to be putting a proper EL heaterbox in my car but wanted to replace everything that I could while I had the chance, even if I have to pay that sum for a fan motor and rotor , just to save headaches down the track, especially if it's a dash out job :P.

So in addition, are there any significant differences between the heaterboxes besides the vacuum packs and Fan resistor unit. If I can save myself sourcing another heaterbox that would be great :P

Cheers for the advice, much appreciated :D
