Cheers mate, Tim Tim, you might get away with trying to adapt an AU Clock Spring but the BA is nothing like what you have. It attaches differently and unless you are able to wield magic powers, you will NOT get it to fit. Sorry but, the pics I have are so basic they are not worth adding. I will have to take my Camera to work on Friday and get some pics for you. |

Hey George, I have not worked out how to remove the Handbrake cable from the EF, so before i cut it out, can you advise if they are still available, and if so how much.
Cheers Brett

You aren't able to find info on the resistance values in the cruise switches and or a wiring diagram on how they work are you? If this sort of info isn't available I'll save up and buy a set and work it out for myself... The silver ones are 150 on ebay, whats a set of new black ones worth? Cheers, Tim

Yeah the only way onto the island is by ferry which is 45mins or plane from adelaide airport which is 20min flight. I did search on ebay and wondered why there was such a huge gap in price. Thanks for that Papa Smurf |

Hey George, just tried to call you. Is the AU Live axle handbrake cable available, seems that the EF 1 while it fits is missing a few attachments and i figured maybe just put the AU one on the diff. I will retain the rest of the EF setup.
Also would it be possible to put a link up with the exploded view of the series 2 live axle brakes, as in twin spot. I need to see what the backing plates look like and how to fit them. Cheers Brett

Hi George,
I was helpfully referred to this thread by another member. I am considering buying an AU1 Tickford dual fuel ECU (Catch-code = WTJC; Part # = WR2T 12A650 JC; Module ID: ETV-712) to fit into my AU1 Fairmont with aftermarket LPG. I am concerned about compatibility given that the ECU is said to be from a Falcon, and I am not sure if that would have any implications for fairmont features, i.e. cruise control. Dual fuel ECU is Smartlock type, as is my fairmont. I have looked for details about this ECU on some databases but come up with little. Can you shed some light on this? |
