Basically they don't but they list the heavy duty Sedan LPG bar as the same for BAs. I can't tell you what exactly is the difference but it may be trial and error?

I am guessing what you need is the complete centre surround that is in the pic attached. Approx $235.00 and in two different colours.

Hi Mr Papa,

Just wanted to ask if Ford has different part numbers for the steering shaft on Ghia's to normal falcons (EL) the Ghia has the speed sensitive steering and the box sits up higher... I'm wondering if the shafts are different as a result.. I have a normal GLI shaft in there at present and no matter what I do, it has a tiny knock when the steering column is in it's upper position. I am hoping that is because the Ghia has a different shaft design and I just need to find another.

Frank, the only difference is between 6 and V8, the intermediate shaft is the same for Gli and Ghia 6 cyl and all the V8 ones are the same wether Ghia or Gli.
This may seem silly but, grab a can of WD 40, get under the dash and spray down the end of the steering shaft where there is an enclosed bearing, it could be that which is causing your knock?

Thanks mate, it isn't the bearing... I've tried couple of different shafts with the same issue.... it seems like the knuckle is just touching the firewall as it turns.... perhaps my wheel goes to far up.... maybe i am missing a stopper or something...

Thanks again.

There are 2 different types and both are still available.

Thanks

ER 10887 B is the number $48.00 retail. We have 1 in stock. I checked and Klosters have none.

Quick question george,

Is there a difference in the sandwich plate from a 5.0 to a 5.8W.

If there is then i need to track down a 5.8W sandwich plate.

Brett

The XD 5 and 5.8 are the same but it appears there is a slight difference in the F series ones but not sure about the OLD Windsor ones. You are referring to late model 5 litre?

Yes mate, EFI 5.0 and EFI 5.8. I would assume the Aussie delivered 5.8 F trucks from the early 90's would be where to look. (paddy wagons and ambo's from that era).

The XD was a cleveland, not a Windsor.
Cheers
Brett

Matey, I would be getting myself off to an Auto Electrician and let him do a circuit trace and check the wires, it might be that one of the wires is not connected properly?

Just to let people know here, the prices I list are the recommended retail price for parts and may differ from dealer to dealer. There many reasons for price variations and they are usually freight issues for country dealers who sometimes have to pay freight to get the parts to their dealership.

One other thing, when I offer to purchase things for people I MAKE NOTHING from the sale, it is a favour I do for members here to try and help as I know the cost of keeping a car on the road can be high.

No one has accused me of anything but I just thought I would let you all know. :)
