Yes mate, EFI 5.0 and EFI 5.8. I would assume the Aussie delivered 5.8 F trucks from the early 90's would be where to look. (paddy wagons and ambo's from that era).
The XD was a cleveland, not a Windsor.

ALL XW/XY Windsor and Clevland use the SAME plate for the back of the motor. I know they are 351s but that's about all I can get for you, sorry.

I think the help you offer to members on this site makes you a great asset. I know personally how much you do go out of your way to help as you have for me on many occasions. I hope that others appreciate what you do, just as much as I do.

I know at times just because you work on the other side of the counter, people can think you owe them everything. When in fact you could be as much as a robot as the computer you use. The help you offer is your choice, not your obligation. I think that this can be blurred in many peoples eyes as I too have done your job.

You have my respect George. Your good at your job and a good mate to have!

+1 there

I read the posts here and have managed to fix a lot of the issues I have come up against. Will keep looking with enthusiasm. :D

+1 for Ash's comment,

And thanks George, I appreciate the help. It seems that the 5.0 is the same as the 5.8 so all good, Was just covering all bases to make sure i didn't run into any issues come install time.

HI Papa Smurf!

I'd love to ask you if you can provide me with the part number for the bolt & shim that holds the clutch fork into the bell housing, for both of the following cars:

Eb I6 5speed
Eb V8 5speed.

I have been told by ford @ hoppers crossing that they are no longer available, but other's tell me otherwise, but can't provide part numbers.

I too now work in the spare parts game (for Repco), and would love to thank you for this thread & your efforts for fordmods members!

Cheers

ToranaGuy

The bolt for the 6cyl is still available and is V 800090 S2 $33.40 and the V8 is D5FZ 7B602 A $75.40. The spacer for the AU is available and I guess you could make it fit, the bolt for the AU is the same? The Spacer is AU2 7B554 A $5.40.
As to the V8 spacer, there is no spacer listed for them. Maybe you could find out from a Mustang site as they are the same Bolt for the 2000 model.

Thanks for the info Papa Smurf! I will be going to ford & ordering a spacer tomorrow. I didn't realize the v8 doesn't list a spacer. I have not yet had my v8 clutch fork out, but assumed (I know, never assume!) that it would probably be the same setup as the I6 T5.

Cheers

hi george. going to try fitting a ba/bf towbar to the fg. looking to buy one secondhand, is there differences between ba/bf ones depending on the car they come from? like is a wagon one different from a ute, which is different from a sedan? my fg is a sedan so thinking a ba/bf sedan suited towbar would be my best bet if they are different.

cheers mate

I can see where you could get away with fitting a BA/BF towbar to the FG sedan only.
Wagons and Utes are way different to sedans.

Papa, can you please advise a P/N for 24lb blue tops, for a V8.
I think its M-9593-AA302. is this correct?
Dave

The number is mostly correct, M-9593-A302. The injectors are FORD Racing parts and we are not allowed to sell this stuff, there is a Ford racing distributor here, Rare Spares, who can buy but not us.

I found this place that may be able to help you. http://www.hume.com.au/product_info.php ... d016cf4f85

Thanks George,

Turns out the injectors i picked up are not suited to AU, didn't realise AU ran a different plug to everything else. bastards, any chance you can provide a part number for a AU injector? Gotta exchange these now.

XL2Z 9F593 CA $242.20 ea.

EB/ED/EF/EL use Mustang ones F1ZZ 9F593 C $577.00 ea

The XL2Z 9F593 CA (Motorcraft CM4936, Bosch 0-280-155-917) are listed for use on 4.6 V8 Lincolns. Image Image

The XS2Z 9F593 BA (Motorcraft CM4960)

It appears that you can buy an adaptor kit for injectors that have the wrong electrical fitting, http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=9669
