I am going to look into the adaptors for when I change my motor over to save cutting and shutting another loom.

Hey papa,
I have recently acquired an original gauge pod plus gauges for my ba, I was wondering what else i'd need to get them running, such as wiring and oil sender etc and how much. Thanks StrawbZ |

Thanks StrawbZ There IS a Gauge feed wiring listed, I am not sure if it can be bought separately from FPV? Part number is BA2T 9A282 A and costs $76.00, I can find out on Monday for you though. Depending on what gauges you got? Oil Temp gauge sensor is listed for a V8 4L3Z 12A648 AA $123.00 and 3F1Z 12A648 A $100.00. The Turbo Oil Pressure sensor 6U5Z 9278 D $34.00, Turbo intercooler sensor BAT 6S701 A $156.00. |

The Annodized nut is not standard but, Did you also replace the nut on the end of the pipe? It is what causes most leaks. The ONLY way to change the nut is to remove it from the pipe which necessitates cutting the nut off with a hacksaw and replace it with a BA 3F656 B adaptor Nut from Ford $11.00. ok thanks for the response, sorry for the delay but im on holiday atm. I used the old nut unfortuntely....... so the old nut must be cut off, but the new one slips on...... correct? im wondering might it be easier to buy a replacement high pressure hose and have that fitted along with the new nut...... are they available for the AUII still ?..... if so maybe the AUIII hose might be better and different yet again? Someone told me that its normal for the HP hose line to have small amount of play at the back of the pump, but as mentioned ive seen another AUII with the line being very solid and not having any play at all. Sorry for the questions, but i really do just want to permanently solve this leak and do it properly cheers |

hey mate,
one of the boys said i should give you a go with this one. Any ideas would be great the wife's territory wont lock, you hit the lock button and the horn beeps 3 times and unlocks again. I have checked all the doors are shut and tailgate full door and just the glass section. I went around listening to the door locks as i hit the lock button and they all seem to be working fine. Any ideas, I can just see it getting knocked off with the doors always open (although that would not be to bad LOL). It also wont lock via the key, it just unlocks itself again.

The Drivers door lock and solenoid are the controlling one and I am guessing that MAY be it? TO be sure AND safe, get yourself off to an Auto Electrician and let him do a test to confirm. Highly unlikely that it is the BEM, rarely sell them anyway. |

Thanks mate. would you believe that the wife cracked the sh!ts with it and slammed the drivers door and now the rotten thing locks odd, especially after a week of not locking. If it happens again, i will take it to the auto elec. Thanks mate

Either clamp the nut and hose in a vice and carefully hacksaw the OLD not off or get a Nut Cracker, if you don't feel confident enough, have someone do it for you. A NEW hose is the same for ALL AUs and to me that would be a thing of last resort. If it ISN'T leaking from the rubber hose itself I would not be replacing it. The NEW nut for the end of the pipe SHOULD be enough to fix your leak. |

Hi Papa Smurf ,
I've got an EL falcon (4.0) with a worn intermediate shaft and was wondering if Ford would have any in stock and if they do how much ? Thanks . |

George,
Different part numbers for EA to ED and EF to EL fuel senders? Whats an EL one worth? Cheers, Tim

The Late EL one, 01/03/1998, is EL 9275 A and it costs $250.00. This one is the same as AUs but has a plastic Fuel Pump carrier assy. By the look of it, you should be able to get the AU assy into an EL ?can't guarantee that though. |

Na its just with the NF/NL cluster conversion the gauge seemed to be calibrated slightly differently and I thought there may have been a different sender to the ED
Cheers, Tim
