Oh yes, the flow is still there...Although small.
Mines a switch on the main positive wire to the back of the ignition switch. Any ideas on that amp current?

Just throwing ideas around, but a mate used to remove the fuel pump fuse in his XE ESP as it was under the bonnet and tucked away - could you remove the fuse? I know they could swap another one but they'd have to figure it out first.

Well if I was to cut the lights that would probably make my dream of a written of car come true. Wich is not what I want.
Good ideas there anthony. Would it be possible to cut power to the injectors in the engine bay? Because I could hide the switch in there and no way someones gonna keep looking for something like that when the cars just turning and everything looks conected. Also. Is the fuel pump ground in a eb near the tail light too? |

EB pump ground will be either one of the light nuts, or on the drivers side, just next to the lights (towards the middle of the boot)
You can cut the injectors - two ways. There is a common Power Rail that goes to them, or you can cut the injector wires (2 of) anywhere between the ECU and the Fuel Rail. Nigel |

just make sure you put the switch in uncommon place. like i had a mate that put a button under the carpet by the pedals

On my EA SVO i had a Reed switch glued under the front bin of the centre console ....it disconnected the starter relay.
A Reed switch is activated by a magnet, so i just had a small magnet in the bin which i took with me when I left the car.

Sorry for gettin technical, but what do you mean by "the front bin of the centre console"? Is it a typo meant to say bit?

The front bin is the spot just in front of the gear stick where you can put all your stuff like coins and keys, etc.
No it wasnt factory, I did it myself.

I was thinking the bin/tray at the front under the ashtray.
That's pretty trick actually. Have a magnet attached to your keys (looks like an interesting keytag) drop it in there when driving and there's nothin visible to give any idea.

Just remember that its all good and well to hide a switch so the nth degree...
But often people miss what's right in front of them... So even utilising a factory switch off to the side of the wheel in the EA-ED they would still never find it... Just remember that people eyeing off your car, if they see you pop the boot for no reason and get nothing out or appear to be stuffing around in there, they'll know where to start looking... Spark or injectors are the best thing I find to cut out too... The force the barrel, hear the fuel pump whir, it cranks but wont start... Well where are you gonna look for the problem? Could be anywhere... And again, they'll be looking for something hidden, 9 times out of 10 a big red button in their face that said press me would still be missed... Again at the end of day... Remember that we are talking about e series falcons... Some maybe worth a lot of money and/or rare... But they aren't HSV's, FPV's Ferrari's or Porsche's... These would be more targeted first... And in the cities where towing is a private business, if someone wanted your car they would back up to it in a tilt bed, hook the j's under your diff and the winches will drag tyres against tarmac without even breaking a sweat... No kill switch will stop this method of thieving... Then they have all the time in world to get it going, or just part it out... Cheers, Tim

yea but you could make it hard as possible. like even turning your wheels to lock the steering would make it a b**ch,or park it where a truck can't get in. if they were to try and steal an eseries it wouldnt be a pro they wouldnt bother.

You can now get sat track systems on ebay for around $250. That combined with a decent kill switch (say using the antenna switch, or demister...) would get you out of trouble.
What I like about the sat systems is that although you need to maintain an attitional mobile number, you can SMS it remotely and it will give you the GPS Coordinates. That takes car of towing, especially if you have done a good job of installing it and putting it away. Nigel |

Ok I have a good idea of a standard un used switch on my dash now. Gonna go with injectors I think.
