my break lights are not working but my tail lights are. i have checked the fuse and it looks all good i tried another one to double check.

if one bulb is out do all of them fail? im guessing its the break switch can somebody please give me a quick guide on replacing it?

brake light switch, its a common problem but an easy fix although there $45 from ford, not sure if they make them non-gen give burson a call and find out.

make sure its not the brake light switch just sticking first. just push the brake pedal down and get ya hand in there and see if the button is moving out when you push the brake pedal down. if it is just sticking, a quick spray of wd40 or the likes will free it up, did the same on mine a few weeks back and havent had any trouble since

You can also pull the switch apart, clean the contacts and pop it back in. Takes about half an hour to do. Just take note of how the switch comes apart cos they can be a bit fiddly... :wink:

LOL.. fiddly is not the word.. I had to do mine 3 times.. to my EL, I brought a new switch and the same problem after a while.. theyre a pain those switches..

I just remebered that I think saw some down at the local supercheap...I think they were about $15 bucks.....not worth f**k around pulling it apart :roll: :wink:

yeh thats right, i was down at autobarn having a look see and came across a brake light switch for ef/el for 16.99. the brand is NICE
