Hi
This sounds harder than it is, but then again, it can be a real pain to do. You need to undo the completed dash and pull it back as far as you can without unclipping the wiring. Steps to remove Pedal Box. 1. Remove centre Console 2. Undo the five bolts holding the pedal box to the firewall. These are around where the steering column passes through to the engine bay. 3. Remove the split pin and bush holding the brake pedal to the brake master cylinder. 4. Remove the dash, there are four bolts, two on each side at the bottom corners of the dash, and two in the centre underneath the radio area. 5. Remove the plastic cowl piece covering the windscreen demister vents. 6. Undo the bolts along the leading edge of the dash pad. You may have to undo the earth bolt if the wiring does not have enough give. 7. Undo the two nuts holding the steering column to the pedal box. Lower the column as far as you can. 8. Unclip the bonnet catch handle from under the dash 9. Remove the left and the right kick panels. 10. Lift the whole dash up and pull back far enough to get a spanner to the three top pedal box bolts. Best to use a mate for this. 11. Pull the pedal box out. To reassemble reverse the order. If you look at the below picture of my EB Wagon with the dash pulled back you can see the pedal box and the three bolts you need to undo that are behind the dash. I have undone the left hand wiring connectors as I was changing the pedal box and the heater box. My best suggestion is to go and buy a Gregorys or similar workshop manual. The first thing any car owner should buy. Good luck. BenJ

You don't need to dissassemble the parts you have.
The WHOLE DASH needs to be undone and moved back. Where in Sydney are you Clampy? Call me on 0401 851 347 if you need more help. BenJ

Clampy...there are certain bolts that need to be removed to pull the WHOLE dash away from the firewall.
There are a few bolts running along the bottom of the windscreen under the plastic cover that cover the factory tweeters. Remove that plastic mould/cover and then remove the main bolts (I believe they are all 10mm bolts)...make sure you remove the earth bolt too so not to snap the wires, it is painted green. It is also wise to unclip some of the wires just in case they get caught and snap. There are also 4 bolts located underneath. 2 are located on either side behind the kick panels. So remove the kick panels and you should see 10mm bolts, remove those. There are 2 in the middle console, they are a bit of a prick to get to because they are sort of hidden, but still accessible with a socket on a long extension. Since you already removed the head unit and centre console, you should be able to get to them easily. They are locate on either side underneath the steel frame/bracket that holds the head unit. Best way to spot them is to plant your cheek where the gear boot is and have a squizz underneath the steel frame. Remove those 2 bolts and you would have completed removing all of the main bolts and you can remove the dash as a whole. Another thing, before your remove the dash, remove the bolts that hold the pedal box to the firewall...once those are removed, remove the bolts holding the steering column up and lower the steering column. Once all the bolts are removed, get someone to help you and heave the heavy dash upwards to unhook it and then back away from the firewall. Get your helper or yourself and unclip any wiring if you can't get it out far enough to reach the top 3 final bolts. I recommend unclipping the wiring just to make sure...making sure you know what clips to what. hope that helps... phong =P~

Make sure you disconnect the battery before you start.
Remove the lower cover and upper cover of the steering column. Disconnect the harness on the steering column. Remove the key from the ignition and lock the steering column by turning the wheel. This will prevent having the colum out a turn to the steering rack. Loosen and remove the bolt at the steering shaft inside the car where it is multisplined you can mark this to make sure it all goes back in the same spot. Then you can loosen the 2 bolt up near the bottom of the instrument cluster i think they are 13mm nuts. Now you can remove the steering column. After this it is alittle tricky to get to the upper bolts of the pedal box but it is doable. On one model i dont remember you have to trim or bend alittle material back. The tools i used were a combination of 1/4 drive and 3/8 set with the use of both sized universal joints and paitence but once you do one the next is easier. Also there was one i did where i removed the speedo cluster i have no idea why,but just thought i'd mention it. This way is alittle trickier but i was taught this way by my boss who has worked on fords for more than 25yrs. See how you go.
